Position Title:  Coach

General Summary:

Coaches are assigned a team to coach for the entire week of camp.  Teams typically have approximately ten (10) players of similar age and ability.  The coach is responsible for all matters which pertain to her team, division and the camp structure overall.  The coach must teach, encourage, motivate and supervise our campers at all times.

Responsible To:  The Commissioner of assigned division, the Camp Director and Sarah Behn.

Duties:

1. Responsible for all matters pertaining to assigned team, the daily schedule and the camp structure overall.
2. Cooperate with Commissioners, Directors, Campers, and Sarah Behn to promote the best interest for SB Basketball Camp.
3. Teach the fundamentals of basketball to the best of your ability.
4. Accompany and supervise campers at all times.
5. Take frequent roll calls for your team.
6. Report any medical or behavioral incidents to the Director immediately.
7. Follow the policies and procedures in the SB Camp Health Care Policy Manual.
8. Follow SB Camp Staff rules.
9. Follow daily schedule set by Camp Director.
10. Evaluate your players accurately and fairly.
11. Keep inventory of equipment and return issued equipment at conclusion of camp.
12. Be a positive role Model.

Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years High School Varsity Basketball
•  One-year working with young children
