The Mustangs climbed back over the .500 mark with a win over the Warriors last night, improving to 3-2 on the season.
Kristen Dolan and Paige Hackett shared duties in the circle. Dolan went the first three innings, allowing just one hit without a walk and striking out seven. Hackett hurled the last four, surrendering a hit, a walk with and an unearned run while fanning nine.
Brittany Calarese led the way offensively with four hits, while Jess Putnam was on four times with three hits and a walk. Katie Ouellette added a triple in her return from injury. The Mustangs take on rival Walpole this afternoon.
“It was a great opportunity to get everyone in and hopefully everybody will be ready (today),” said Norwood coach Kathy Smelstor.
